Designer: Thierry Dreyfus
Production: FLOS (Bovezzo/Italy)
This lighting installation is represented in such a “bold” way and it actually is a part of the interior.
Golden rupture belongs to a French lighting artist Thierry Dreyfus, who compares his work to an injury, a wound.
As for the design, an uneven surface illuminated by an invisible source looks like a continuous mountain range, as if you can even feel the heat of a lava from a volcano that has just erupted (It should be noted that the installation is equipped with LED lights, which contrary to this idea do not emit practically any temperature).
Their are two options to this work – gold or silver. It is also possible to install them in the wall either horizontally or vertically.
Technical details of the lamp:
Gold – warm white LED (Light Emitting Diode) -2800 Kelvin CRI (Color Rendering Index) 90
Silver – cold white LED (Light Emitting Diode) -5000 Kelvin CRI (Color Rendering Index) 90
As for the lighting artist, he is very well-known in the fashion industry as many “sets” all over the world have been lit by him. At the same time, his name is associated with such well-known brands as: Helmut Lang, Dior Homme, Calvin Klein, des Garçons, Jil Sander and the other.
The artist’s works can also be seen in architecture and it is not limited to a narrow range in this case either. Lightings of theaters and operas, along with many other public buildings projects have been undertaken by him in France.
Fortunately, people interested in the art of lighting have an opportunity to view this installation at Forum by New Light at D. Agmashenebeli valley. But before it you can check the video, describing details of this artwork.
